Preparation
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Cook egg noodles according to package directions, then drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the drained tuna, cooked noodles, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and frozen peas, mixing well.
- Stir in half of the shredded cheddar cheese.
Baking
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle with the remaining cheddar cheese.
- Top with crushed potato chips or breadcrumbs for a crispy finish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until bubbly and the topping is golden brown.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can sauté some diced onion and celery with the tuna before mixing. A dash of hot sauce can also add a nice kick to the casserole.
