  • 12 ounces canned tuna, drained
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 10.75 ounces can cream of mushroom soup
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup crushed potato chips or breadcrumbs for topping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cook egg noodles according to package directions, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the drained tuna, cooked noodles, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and frozen peas, mixing well.
  4. Stir in half of the shredded cheddar cheese.
Baking
  1. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle with the remaining cheddar cheese.
  2. Top with crushed potato chips or breadcrumbs for a crispy finish.
  3. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until bubbly and the topping is golden brown.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can sauté some diced onion and celery with the tuna before mixing. A dash of hot sauce can also add a nice kick to the casserole.
