  • 2 lbs chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
Tzatziki Sauce
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 0.5 cup cucumber, grated
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 0.25 tsp salt
For Serving
  • 4 pita bread warm
  • 1 tomatoes, diced
  • 0.5 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Slice the chicken into thin strips and marinate with olive oil, lemon juice, oregano, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper for at least 15 minutes.
  2. For the tzatziki, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, fresh dill, lemon juice, and salt in a bowl, then stir and refrigerate.
Cooking
  1. Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat, then cook the chicken strips for 5-7 minutes until fully cooked and slightly browned.
  2. Warm the pita bread according to package instructions, either in a microwave, oven, or on the skillet.
Assembly
  1. To assemble, spread a generous amount of tzatziki sauce on warm pita bread, then add chicken, diced tomatoes, sliced red onion, and shredded lettuce.
  2. Fold the pita and serve immediately for a delicious meal.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken overnight. You can substitute chicken thighs for breasts. Serve with a side of Greek salad or fries.
