For the Bruschetta Topping
  • 2 cups ripe tomatoes diced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

For the Bread
  • 1 loaf baguette sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic cut in half

Method
 

Bruschetta Topping Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped fresh basil, minced garlic, balsamic glaze, and olive oil. Season with salt and black pepper to taste and gently toss everything together.
  2. Allow the tomato mixture to marinate at room temperature for at least 15 minutes to let the flavors meld.
Bread Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet, brush lightly with olive oil, and bake for 8-10 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  2. Once the bread is toasted, remove it from the oven and rub each slice with the cut side of the halved garlic clove for added flavor.
Assembly
  1. Spoon a generous amount of the marinated tomato mixture onto each toasted baguette slice.

Notes

For best results, use the freshest ripe tomatoes available. You can also add a sprinkle of parmesan cheese or a dash of red pepper flakes for an extra kick.
