Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 chicken breasts boneless, skinless
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika

Equipment

  • grill
  • meat thermometer
  • plastic wrap
  • small bowl
  • pastry brush

Method

Preparation
  1. Tenderize the chicken breasts by placing them between two sheets of plastic wrap and pounding them to an even thickness of about 1 inch.
  2. In a small bowl, combine olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika to create the seasoning mixture.
  3. Brush both sides of each chicken breast with the seasoning mixture, ensuring an even coating.
Grilling
  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (375-400°F) and lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
  2. Place the seasoned chicken breasts on the hot grill and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the chicken is no longer pink in the center.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours) after seasoning. If you don't have a grill, you can cook the chicken in a hot skillet or grill pan!
