  • 12 ounces fresh cranberries
  • 2 celery ribs thinly sliced
  • 0.5 cup pecans chopped
  • 0.5 cup sugar
Dressing
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 0.25 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest optional

Preparation
  1. Rinse and thoroughly drain the cranberries; then, finely chop them using a food processor or by hand.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chopped cranberries with sliced celery, chopped pecans, and sugar.
  3. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, and orange zest until smooth.
  4. Pour the dressing over the cranberry mixture and stir gently until all ingredients are well coated.
  5. For best results, cover the bowl and refrigerate the salad for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

For an extra crunch, you can add some chopped walnuts or almonds. A sprinkle of fresh mint before serving will also brighten the flavors.
