Main Ingredients
  • 5 small rounds of brie cheese
  • 1 package puff pastry sheets
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 0.5 cup nuts (pecans or walnuts) chopped
For Serving (Optional)
  • crackers or baguette slices
Garnish
  • fresh rosemary for garnish

Equipment

  • baking sheet
  • parchment paper
  • small bowl
  • knife

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the puff pastry and cut it into squares large enough to enclose each brie round. Lightly beat the egg in a small bowl.
Assembly and Baking
  1. Place a brie round in the center of each pastry square. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
  2. Fold the pastry edges over the brie to create a sealed package. Brush the pastry with the beaten egg.
  3. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
Serving
  1. Carefully transfer the baked brie to a serving platter. Garnish with fresh rosemary, and serve immediately with crackers or baguette slices.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of thyme or a spread of fig jam inside the pastry with the brie. Ensure the pastry is well-sealed to prevent cheese leakage during baking. If you don't have puff pastry, you can use crescent roll dough as a substitute.
