- Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat, then add marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat and quickly stir in the rice cereal until thoroughly coated with the marshmallow mixture.
- Press the mixture evenly into a buttered 9x13 inch baking dish, using a buttered spatula or wax paper, then let cool completely before cutting into treats.
Notes
For extra flavor, try adding a splash of vanilla extract with the marshmallows or crumbling in some chocolate chips after mixing in the cereal.
