Cooking Steps
- Chop the cabbage into bite-sized pieces and set aside. Dice the bacon and onion, and mince the garlic.
- In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon and drain most of the grease, leaving about 1 tablespoon in the skillet.
- Add the diced onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender-crisp, about 10-15 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir in the cooked bacon bits just before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a splash of apple cider vinegar at the end. You can also customize by adding other vegetables like carrots or bell peppers.
