- In a medium bowl, mash the ripe avocados with a fork until desired consistency.
- Stir in the lime juice, diced red onion, and chopped cilantro.
- Optionally, add the minced jalapeño for a little heat.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste, mixing well to combine all ingredients.
Notes
For best results, use fresh, ripe avocados. To prevent browning, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the guacamole before refrigerating. This guacamole is best served fresh.
