  • 0.5 tsp Dried oregano
  • 0.5 tsp Cayenne pepper
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper

Preparation
  1. Pat salmon fillets dry using paper towels to ensure a crispy crust.
  2. Combine all blackening seasoning ingredients in a small bowl.
Cooking
  1. Brush salmon fillets with olive oil, then generously coat both sides with the blackening seasoning.
  2. Heat a cast-iron skillet over high heat until it begins to smoke.
  3. Carefully place salmon, skin-side up, in the hot skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until a dark crust forms.
  4. Flip the salmon and cook for another 3-5 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flaky.
