Ingredients

Main
  • 1 lb chicken breast cut into strips
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 cup carrots sliced
  • 1 large bell pepper sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp ginger grated
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water

Equipment

  • Large skillet or wok
  • Mixing bowls
  • Whisk

Method

Step 1: Prepare Chicken and Sauce
  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, grated ginger, minced garlic, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water. Whisk well and set aside.
  2. Add chicken strips to the sauce and toss to coat, ensuring all pieces are well marinated.
Step 2: Stir Fry Vegetables
  1. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add a tablespoon of oil and then add the broccoli, carrots, and bell pepper, stir-frying until crisp-tender.
  2. Remove the stir-fried vegetables from the skillet and set them aside in a separate bowl.
Step 3: Cook Chicken and Combine
  1. Add the marinated chicken to the same skillet, ensuring to spread it in an even layer. Cook until the chicken is browned and cooked through, stirring occasionally.
  2. Return the stir-fried vegetables to the skillet with the cooked chicken and toss everything together to combine, ensuring an even distribution.

Notes

Serve immediately over rice or noodles for a complete meal. Adjust the honey and soy sauce to your taste, or add a pinch of red pepper flakes for heat.
