Preparation
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, grated ginger, minced garlic, sesame oil, and cornstarch, then whisk until smooth to create the stir-fry sauce.
- Add the thinly sliced beef sirloin to the sauce, ensuring it is well-coated, and let it marinate for at least 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
Cooking
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, then add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned and cooked through.
- Remove the cooked beef from the skillet and set it aside.
- Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the skillet, then add the broccoli florets, sliced carrots, and bell pepper, and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the vegetables, then pour in any remaining sauce from the marinade and stir well to combine and coat all ingredients.
- Continue to stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and everything is heated through.
Serving
- Serve the beef stir fry immediately over steamed rice or noodles, garnishing with sesame seeds or chopped green onions if desired.
Notes
For extra spice, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce. You can also customize the vegetables based on your preference, such as adding snow peas or mushrooms.
