Pumpkin Bars

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Let the pumpkin bars cool completely on a wire rack before frosting.
Cream Cheese Frosting

  2. Gradually add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, beating until fully incorporated after each addition.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract until combined.
  4. Once the pumpkin bars are completely cool, spread the cream cheese frosting evenly over the top and cut into 5 servings.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of ground cloves or ginger to the pumpkin bar batter. Ensure your cream cheese and butter are at room temperature for the smoothest frosting. These pumpkin bars can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
