These soft and fluffy dinner rolls are incredibly easy to make and can be ready in just 45 minutes. Perfect for any meal, they're a delicious addition to your table.

Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2.25 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 egg beaten
Egg Wash
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 tbsp water

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water, then let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add flour, salt, melted butter, and beaten egg to the yeast mixture and mix until a shaggy dough forms, then knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for 15-20 minutes until doubled in size.
  4. Gently punch down the risen dough, divide it into 12 equal pieces, and shape each piece into a ball.
  5. Arrange the shaped rolls in a greased 9x13 inch baking pan, cover them, and let them rise again for 10-15 minutes.
Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C), and in a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water for the egg wash.
  2. Brush the tops of the risen rolls with the egg wash for a golden-brown finish.
  3. Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.

Notes

For extra flavor, brush the warm rolls with melted butter just after they come out of the oven.
