Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups canned deer meat drained
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 2 carrots sliced
  • 2 potatoes cubed
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions
 

  • In a large pot, heat olive oil and sauté onions and garlic.
  • Add carrots, potatoes, and beef broth. Bring to a boil.
  • Lower the heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
  • Add canned venison, thyme, salt, and pepper. Let simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Adjust seasoning and serve warm.

Notes

or a healthier version, use low-sodium broth and sweet potatoes instead of regular potatoes.
