Cooking Instructions
- Cook linguine according to package directions in a large pot of salted water. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- While pasta cooks, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced andouille sausage and cook until browned, then remove and set aside.
- Add shrimp to the same skillet and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through, then remove and set aside.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
- Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce has thickened. Add the cooked sausage, shrimp, and drained linguine to the skillet.
- Toss everything to combine, adding some reserved pasta water if the sauce is too thick. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
For an extra kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper with the Cajun seasoning. You can also substitute chicken or bell peppers for the sausage if desired.
